SUZHOU – May 26, 2016 – Nexteer Automotive’s Asia Pacific team celebrated the opening of the Suzhou Prototype Center Phase II on May 26, 2016 and overviewed the center’s anticipated impact on manufacturing, assembly and product development.
The center’s assembly stations and equipment were designed to replicate the production manufacturing process, and are fully compliant with the Nexteer global quality control guidelines and requirements.
“Our new Prototype Center also includes 3D printing equipment which will enhance our product and manufacturing engineering capabilities. Providing quick prototype services is critical in supporting Asia Pacific’s fast-paced growth,” said Tao Liu, vice president and chief operating officer, Nexteer Asia Pacific Division.
More than 2500 prototypes are planned for manufacturing in 2016. The facility will also provide ongoing structure for product and process innovation.
