Our Road Surface Detection software, in collaboration with Tactile Mobility, enables vehicles to “feel” the road by collecting real-time road friction data via virtual sensors with unprecedented accuracy and availability. The software interprets and assigns the data to real-time road condition scenarios (dry, icy, wet) which is sent to the cloud and shared with trailing vehicles as a “heads up” to changing road conditions for enhanced vehicle safety and control.  

 

The virtual sensors are created by AI and machine learning technologies, requiring no additional hardware or physical sensors.  

Our Road Surface Detection Software was recognized with a 2023 CES Innovation Award and 2022 Automotive News PACEpilot Finalist award.
